Printing jewelry drawings onto (embroidered) dress pieces
These pieces sample the process of transferring my drawings through dye sublimation printing onto embroidered dress fragments. These form one element of the body of images and references I am working with for the EXTERNAL GROUP for the on-going ‘Locus of the Dress’ project.
These are developed from biro drawings of family jewelry. Both the locket and bracelet images refer to the use of lucky charms and lucky heirlooms relevant to the EXTERNAL ‘ locus of control’ the psychological theory I am exploring in this body of work.
I am going to proceed by integrating the charcoal drawing of the incoming storm, the Xenia tornado, with the lucky charms and lucky heirlooms.
